The mouse allows for more fluid and direct action , example moving from the left lane to the far right lane can we done with a single swipe. Keyboard on the other hand requires tapping and click to preform the same action.

I use my Xbox controller..at least on fast songs. On slower tunes, I like to use my laptop mouse.
