Auto minimizing + crash

Yeah, like the title says. Overlord 2 minimizes at random intervals, and crashes when I try to get it up again. I haven't found any other example of this issue anywhere on the famous internet, and I hope to get some help.
The crashing upon alt+tab I can live with, but when it forces itself to alt+tab.. that's just plain rude. My guess is that the game doesn't like dual monitors, but I really want to find a solution other than disabling my secondary monitor completely.

I have verified game cache multiple times, all drivers are up to date, all essentials up to date, everything is updated.

Some system specs I can remember right now:
GeForce GTX 560 graphics card
AMD FX-4100 3,6GHz CPU
16 GB RAM
