Terrible Framerate

This game has some poor optimization problems, is there any magical .ini tweaks or something?

Runs fine for me. Sure you aren't just overestimating your rig / cranking everything to max when you should just have a mix of med/high?

i actually have some issues running this game on a 6 core 3.7ghz, i found if you set affinity to just 1 core then the game runs ok but it wont work on multi core for me without serious frame rate stutters and such, my pc is more than capable of running this game, would be nice if their was a work around other than having to set it to a single core every time

I have the same issue with my laptop.
I have a Lenovo Y580:
-Intel Core i7 3610QM 2.30GHz
-8 GB RAM
-Windows 7 Pro
-Geforce GTX 660M and Intel HD Graphics 4000

On maximum effects and full HD i get around 12 fps. With every effect on minimum and 1366x768 resolution i get around 25fps, so i guess something isn't right with this game.
I think i tried everything to make it work:
- i turned off all of the apps that aren't necessary
-checked the antivirus
-do the thing to simulate win xp
-set him on one core only
-updated drivers

If anybody has a sollution or an idea, please write it here :<

Hey, I know it has been a while since you posted this, but I just recently found the issue. I was having this problem too until I disabled my Xbox DVR setting that comes in Windows 10. It causes frame rate issues in a lot of games, so I'm going to add a link to a steam support page that explains how to disable it. I hope this fixes the issue for you. Happy Overlording!

It's never to late to rebuy the game and try out the fix I posted. I never played the game before I got it on steam, but I just put 6 hours into it today, so I think it's worth it. Especially since it's only $10 now.

Ok, to be honest it was really a long time ago and I was using then my lenovo y580. The problem was that my drivers didn't recognise some of the Steam games and tried to run them on the Intel Card instead of my GTX660M -.- The sollution was to manually change the card ;) Still though the performance of those games is terrible xD
