Logitech G27 optimal settings
Would someone kindly share their G27 settings (both in-game and on the logitech profiler)? I am having a hard time making this game behave adequately. It feels floaty with the settings I tried adjusting so far. I also seem to lose control very easily as opposed to other racing games (though I am very new to this wheel thing so that may have played a part in it).

Me too, I have a Logitech Driving Force GT, and It's almost imposible to drive with it.

You should try Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the steering wheel. It's the best and most realistic driving experience ever.

Oh yeah, that game is on my backlog list on a high priority. I just need to set some time aside for it.

Hi,
it was posted before, so all the thanks go to that person, who posted that earlier - not to me!

G27 Settings for GRID

Steam - GRID settings for the Logitech G27 for PC –
You will need to set up a separate profile forGRID, and launch it from the G27 Profiler.
These setting have been cobbled together from various other posts, and should be individually tweaked from within the Options in Steam if necessary, but do try them as they are first.

Race Driver: GRID Logitech G27 Settings
1. Open the Logitech Profiler
2. Select New > Profile
3. Add grid.exe as a new game.
4. Select Edit > Specific Game Settings
5. Tick > Use Special FF Device Settings
overall effects 107%
spring effect 0%
damper effect 0%
Enable Centering spring in force feedback games (ticked)
Center Spring Strength 10%
Tick >Special Steering Wheel Settings
6. Leave ‘Report Combined Pedals’ Unchecked
Set Degrees of Rotation set to: 350 degrees
7. Tick >‘Use Special Game Settings’
9. Tick > ‘Allow Game to Adjust Settings’
10. Start GRID from the Profiler, and go to (driving) Options > Controls > Choose Preset
11. Select Custom (or G27 - if available!) and then Confirm
12. Back to Main Menu > Option > Force Feedback
FEEDBACK ON
ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECT 20%
FEEDBACK STRENGTH 50%
WHEEL WEIGHT 30%
(You should adjust these settings first to your liking if you find difficulty in controlling your car)
13. Back to Main Menu > Option > Advanced

Advanced Wheel Settings
STEERING DEADZONE 0%
STEERING SATURATION 50%
STEERING LINEARITY 0
THROTTLE DEADZONE 0%
THROTTLE SATURATION 100%
BRAKE DEADZONE 5%
BRAKE SATURATION 100%

That's it - hope it helps.

General info:
Brakes
Increase the DEADZONE if you feel the pedal is pressed too easily.
Decrease the SATURATION if you feel the pedal in not sensitive enough.

Accelerator
Increase the DEADZONE if you feel the pedal is pressed too easily.
Decrease the SATURATION if you feel the pedal in not sensitive enough.

Steering
Increasing the DEADZONE can make the car feel less twitchy.
Decrease the SATURATION if you feel the steering is not sensitive enough.
Increase LINEARITY if you are finding it too difficult to hold the car in a straight line. (Can use negative numbers if needed)

Stability – Reduces understeer.

Traction Control – Reduces wheel spin and improves cornering.

Force Feedback – Strength – The strength of the force feedback. Weight – Heavy wheel or light wheel.
Effects – Overall effect on environment.

should i start a new topic if my issue is getting the game to recognize my wheel to begin with (despite the fact that I start the game FROM profiler)?

Might be a good idea, if only to give your specific problem more visibility.

Just to be sure - if it is a G27, did you install the Logitech G27 profile posted in the DLC thread? Mine only worked after I did that.

I'm not sure if it's because the feedback is so high or what, but this setup makes it feel like the alignment is constantly off (car always pulling one way). I don't know if that would technically be defined as "twitchy", but I threw a few points back into linearity just to improve the handling a bit.
