Question about the ending (spoilers)

In the "Behind the Scenes" extra on Writing, the author writes: "the main conflict was about whether or not the Game-master could be trusted, and what the true nature of the contest was about." And I agree. Throughout the game, while the characters, events, and mysteries kept things interesting, this main issue was always the driving conflict that the story was set up to resolve. But I played through the whole game, and in the end... it doesn't really resolve it. We see the Game-master and his subordin...

Background Flickers?

I just started playing, and every now and then - at apparently irregular intervals - the background will flicker briefly to black and then back to normal. It happens too fast for me to tell if it's everything on the screen or just the background. 1) Anyone else noticing this? 2) If so, anyone know how to stop it from happening? It's a bit... headache-inducing. Before anyone suggests the obvious thing, I am about 99% sure it is not just me blinking at weird intervals, I did my best to test that before com...
