I came across a glitch in mission 7 where you're supposed to destroy 5 AA guns and rescue the pilot but the latter objective doesn't get marked as completed even after rescuing the pilot.Is there a fix for it?

I was going to purchase the game but I read on the GOG forums it's still stuck in 4:3 WHY is this ? The first game is supported yet this one is not ? Just doesn't make any sense. I guess I'm stuck with my retail copy. Was hoping for an improvement. Is there any reason to buy this if I own it retail ?...
