I was referencing to players who use cheats, hacks, and leveling maps. They never learned the teamwork that is necessary for difficult matches. That's why the OP was having such a difficult match.
If you're familiar with the map displayed, Waterworks, there's no way up onto those pipes other than to haved used a hack.
Another example:

The player in the snapshot is a level 4 zerk using a chainsaw to level on HOE. Notice he's completely surrounded and not taking any damage.

First comment thread hijack... Nice one Rambo.

OP, sounds like you were playing with new players. The problem is that most of the decent KF1 players that are still active play together and don't often play with randoms, so most new players, unless they were introduced to the game by someone else, are basically learning the game by themselves. Or even worse, they're learning bad habits from baddies with level 6 perks that choose to show off on normal difficulty and get their kicks that way rather than face a proper challenge.

Either way, there isn't a lot of mentoring going on like there would be with a newer game.

next time run up behind the zerk and heal him while "accidently" blocking the med darts shot at him, then fall back again... medics will often concentrate on one zerk due to missing dart detection.. running in front will make it easier for them to see and heal you quickly while still concentrating on the zerk. Also take any opportunity to heal the medic... should shame them into helping you in most cases

Was in a game yesterday on Forgotten where the zerk was down in front of some stairs and the medic was at the top. Whenever I needed heals I just went half way down the stairs and crouched so the medic could just lower his sights a little to heal me, then I would fall back into position. Worked great.

<Edit - side note... running up behind a berzerker and body blocking them really makes them unhappy... just do it once if you have to and they should figure out it is safer to keep you healed when you crouch in front of them>

The trick is not to play with them. Let them be the way they want with each other. Find good people to play with. Words to live by.
