PSA: Don't Bother With Online Event Records

This kinda goes without saying, but the current records for lap times and such are plagued with the usual slog of cheaters and modders.

Take the top three fastest lap times on the track Midwest Ranch 3 for example.

1. "Vlad1620" with a time of 0'00"11 (that's 11 hundredths-of-a-second) driving the Canyon. FYI, the Canyon is relatively sluggish pickup truck designed for aggressive driving; not exactly perfect for fast laps.
   
2. "Kleber Lucas AS" with a time of 0'00"33 (that's 33 hundredths-of-a-second) driving Daggert's Road King. To be fair, the Road King is one of the fastest non-bonus cars in the ga- hold on, I've never heard of Daggert's Road King before...
   
3. "GDarkBlade666" with a time of 0'27"69 (that's... nah, I'm sure you know what that is) driving the Speedevil. That sounds alright. After all, the Speedevil is also one of the fastest non-bonus vehicles in the game (it kinda ties with the Road King).

The fastest lap? Yeeeeaaaaah. Kinda speaks for itself.
Sure, "Vlad" could have just been using a dirty trick that messes with the game's track system and makes it think he completed a whole lap in just over a tenth of second. But if he did, he doesn't seem to have shared that trick with anyone else...

...except for maybe the guy with the 2nd fasest lap. Looks like he didn't pull it off quite right, though. His time is sketchy too, but it's also three times slower than the first guy's time.
Speaking of the guy with the second fastest lap, THE CAR HE USED IS NOT IN THE GAME.

Now, I'm sure you're aware of how the AI drivers in the game have unique paintjobs on their cars, and you don't have access to these paintjobs. It wouldn't be too bad to assume you can unlock these paintjobs, but they're super-secret, right? Maybe he just wrecked poor Daggert 50 times in Flatout mode or something and that unlocked their car.

Except there's nobody In FlatOut called Daggert. At least, there's nobody called Daggert in Ultimate Carnage. The original FlatOut had an AI driver named Katie Daggert, but they didn't drive a Road King (the Road King simply didn't exist in the original FlatOut), and there is no mention of the driver in Ultimate Carnage. Daggert's Road King is not a vehicle in FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage.

Yes, I'm acusing this "Kleber" guy of cheating or modding or whatever. Yes, I know it doesn't really matter what he does or what I say about what he does.

That third place guy though? I can kinda see that being legit with one of the fastest cars in the game. I can get 53 seconds without using nitro on a fully upgraded Road King (I used time trial mode, of course), I'm sure someone who doesn't suck can cut that in half.

Oh, right, geting on the leaderboards.
Don't bother trying to set a world record or anything, because you can't without cheating.

I agree, I gave up on world records when I noticed the same things you did (mostly). Now I figure if I'm in the top 5 percent, I'm faster than 19 out of twenty guys, so I'm probably going pretty fast, and that's good enough.
It's a shame cheaters ruin it for everyone that wants a legit shot at it though.
I'm not sure what they get out of it.

I didn't really have any intent to get a fast lap before seeing the times, I just saw them after a quick race. Honestly, "Daggert's Road King" caught my eye before the times did.

Mine unlock just fine. If I reinstall the game I have to enter Carnage mode for the unlocks to update but otherwise it works fine.

You mean get the unique paint jobs they have? No, you can't. But you unlock the Grinder, Insetta and Road King in Carnage mode.

Actually, Daggert's Road King is modded road king. There is a guy "Error 4041677" that using this modcar, and he got score "1.#j" on high jump. (who can explain this?) I can't find, who is Daggert, trainer or mod that similar to Error 4041677's records, and 1#j meaning.
