Invalid Code?

This complete Edition is really pissing me off. When I try to put CD Key for both version, it always Invalid Code, WTF?

Be sure that youi arn't mixing the codes up and they are entered in the right place. And just as McGristle said be sure to check the forums they are a great help.

The forums aren't much help, if it's an invalid key and you've purchased the game legitimately, then how would someone on the forums help with that? I have this exact same problem with the same game, the CD Key is entered automatically by Steam, i don't even have to type it in, so you'd imagine that it would be correct since it's the equivalent of copy-and-paste. Yet it still doesn't work, i sent a message to Steam support about it after checking the forums.

No wonder people pirate the game when playing a legitimate copy is this much of a hassle.

Go to xbox.com sing in to your account, then type your cd key in to "activate code" now start your games for windows, select gta iv eflc from all downloads. then click it again. Theres a new cd key and type it in when the game askes about it.

Same problem here. I Contacted ROCKSTARGAMES support, i have 7 replies! but none that helped me. They told me to contact xbox.live. So i did. Then XBOX.LIVE (brasil) said that cant help me, and i should contact the xbox.live (US).

That's VERY complicated. Cuz me and everyone here paid for a game, and cant play it fully.

I got a theory. That the REDEEM CODE option only works for people who lives in UNITED STATES. Something like a region restriction. I'm searching in every forum for help. Sometimes i find people that says "Worked fine for me, i just redeemed the code." blah blah. But some people just got a "Invalid code."

In all this research i got one SOLUTION for single player.
*If you wanna save your game, its easy.
When the game ask for your GFWL account, Select the option "create a new account"
roll all that form down. \/
There's a blue option. "Create off-line profile"
So you can save ur game...

Please, lets test my theory.
IF YOU ACTIVATE UR GAME BY REDEEM CODE OPTION
TELL ME YOUR ACCOUNT LOCATION.

Im brazilian and the redeem code option didnt work. (ps: i tried that "verify cache" too...)

I just created another account on GFWL! and i selected US region.
now i can redeem my code.

I do that, I have got my new code but I can't play online. Anyway, I'm downloading on GFWL Marketplace...

EDIT: Ok, now I can. I confused a T with a 3. I don't know how...

You have to put your CDkey in GTA IV then you go into the EOLC

Creating new US region account didn't help. Anyway error: "Please enter a valid code".
