loading screen stays forever.

As soon as i get out of the pricnipals office in the beggining, the game goes through loading screens but it just stays like that. i can hear jim talking since he is idle but the loading screen wont go away. i restarted the game 3 times already. what else should i do.

found the fix wich is the 1.2 patch

but when i run it it says:
1628 failed to complete installation.

i have the patch files now. where do i put them?

I have patch 1.2 installed (steam installed the game already patched up to this version) but still have OPs error when failing missions.
