Well, you're not alone. I too run Windows 7 64 bit.
I to get past the first two hunters only to come to the locked gate at the basketball court only to suffer the same crash there after.
I have tried 2 fixes, from the 'manhunt .exe.' to "http://www.gzwn.net/manhuntpatcher/"
nothing has worked. Each time it does the same exact thing.

So no, this isn't an isolated incident, I was warned on the store page that this would work with Windows 7, and it doesn't. If you have a fix, or something new maybe a re-installation of this old classic will be in order. Until then, into 'Zee Pit' with Interstellar Space Marine, Silent Hill Homecoming and Velver Assassin it will live. Very sad.

Well, yeah, same here, pretty much. I would kill the first hunter. Then get to the shadows area outside of the basketball court, and no matter what I did, I could not seem to get the gate between me and the second hunter to open. On a few occasions, I was able attract him, and he could run through the gate (which would apparently lock behind him), but other times, he was stuck at the gate, too. The game would typically crash, inexplicably, soon after. *FInally* on my fifth restart, I walked into the gate, and it swung open like it was made of feathers. I was happy - thought that I finally got around the glitch. I moved onto the painkillers, but a few seconds after I picked them up, the game crashed again. So I feel like the game will always crash after running for five minutes or so, no matter what. I've looked through the forums, and haven't seen an answer that could help, definitively (although it looks like just about every thread is either about the crashing or that first broken gate glitch). Anyway, I'm running Windows 7, and any help would be appreciated. Here I try to play some of the good games, waiting in my embarrasingly massive backlog, and the damn thing is busted.

Same here Putty, same here. It's such a damn good game too. Right now it resides in the 'pit' with Silent Hill Homecoming and Alone in the Dark. All of which crash and burn for no reason.

Bought Manhunt 1 like 3 days ago. Used the patch (I have Windows 7); works beautifully..right now I am close to offing Piggsy, and heading towards Starkweather himself. Use the patch, works fine.
