Hot coffee mod produces a black screen/freezes

Since you need to go through the hot coffee mode at least once [key to the heart], I'm stuck in the game. When GTA SA should load the hot coffee mod/alternative sequence, it just draws a black screen and freezes. I'm using the regular Steam version of GTA SA.
