thank you. I purchased GTA:SA retail some years ago and now find that I can no longer install and run it as the server which authenticates your product key or whatever is no longer working. So I see GTA:SA on special half price on Steam and thought yeah that's a solution. Only I have the same mouse problems that others here do. That is, in menus the mouse pointer moves but clicking on menu items doesn't do anything. I can use keyboard. In game, I can't turn the character or look up and down at all. I can't look around while driving vehicle. While I feel very strongly that I should not need to do any hacks to make a game functional, I did try the thing with putting a copying of DINPUT8.dll into the install folder, to no avail.

The game wouldn't actually start at all until I deleted my old save folder in My Documents. I get the feeling that as this doesn't effect everyone, that maybe it's got something to do with previously having the retail version installed, possibly also that it wasn't activated. I uninstalled my retail version and restarted Windows. This is obviously a game breaker, if there's no solution then refund is the only option I can see. It's not possible to play without being able to look where you're going.

I think I can help fix that follow these steps and then it might fix it:First open my computer Second Open your harddrive folder (C:) open program files or program files (x86) open the steam folder open steamapps open common open the Grand theft Auto Sanandreas folder Open testapp.exe And then it will debug your game once it opens the menu quit the program and then open it regulary and see if it work if it doesn't work then please don't refuse to tell me it!!!

Hi, i recently bought this game on steam. When i checked my library it said i had 2 copy's of the game. 1 copy says "install", and the other says "game not avalable on your current platform". Any ideas why it says this? btw I'm still downloading the game now.

Ummmmmmm that is good brand of mice and a good gaming computer i think it is a driver in-game installtion issue so do what i told nero and it should work if not tell me and i will see what i can do!

how do you download gta sa mp

You first have to downgrade gta sa To ver.1.0 (Steams Version is 3.0) then install samp by locating the san andreas folder as a directery for the installtoin by looking at what i told nero (execept the testapp.exe step) and it should work
