How to avoid losing the radio stations
So before the update I backed up the AUDIO folder. During the update here are the files that have changed:

Directory of F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\downloading\12120\audio\CONFIG

08/11/2014 12:31 PM <DIR> .
08/11/2014 12:31 PM <DIR> ..
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 23,064 TrakLkup.dat

Directory of F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\downloading\12120\audio\streams

08/11/2014 12:31 PM 26,331,855 BEATS
08/11/2014 12:37 PM 59,067,556 CH
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 80,102,036 CR
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 133,544,649 CUTSCENE
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 81,453,706 DS
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 76,758,910 MH
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 70,701,424 MR
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 73,921,864 RE
08/11/2014 12:31 PM 64,457,447 RG
9 File(s) 666,339,447 bytes

So you need only replace those files from your original game folder/backup or copy from a friend who has disc based install. If you have not fully downloaded the update you can pause it and make a backup of the files in your game folder before finishing it off then putting them back over the top.

Thanks. I was looking for a simple, concise listing of what changed so I could backup just a few direcories and not the whole damn game.

hey, thanks a bunch, can I ask how you came to this result? Did you use a program to compare, if so, what one, it seems useful!

not sure this works, i restored all these and dont think ive heard any of the removed songs yet after few hours

The gta-sa.exe was also changed but I do not know if it matters for the songs to play. They should play by just replacing the music files...
So still no workaround for this? I replaced the files too and didnt heard any of the cut ones.

I'm having the same problem here. Using the old V1.0 executable causes the game to crash.

It works, use v 3.0, can confirm songs are back.

Can you please upload v3.0 somewhere? I can't find it online, just v1.0.

Start an update on Steam then pause it and open your steam\steamapps\downloading and it will just contain the files it is replacing/adding for that game update.

Looks like you are correct :( can anyone upload the previous Steam exe as I stupidly didn't back that up even though I backed up the audio folder... doh

3.0 is the new Steam patch, you can get it by just downloading/updating the game on Steam

No, I'm talking about the pre-update steam exe. The current one seems to be based on version 1.0.
If you want the songs back, you will need this exe:

It does work, but I think v3.0 just runs better.
