Taxi mission ending prematurely?

I've got the skill to bang out the 50 fares in one go, but the game sometimes decides after a fare to unceremoniously end the mission. No message, nothing...

Did they screw up something with 3.00? Because I've also gotten instability with pausing sometimes crashing the game as well. I used to have 2.00 and it ran just fine.

Yeah I get that crashing when pausing too, and sometimes mouse stops working in either the game or the pause screen, and you usually get it back by going to pause screen or back to game. Unless is crashes when you try go..

And where did the solo burglary missions go? I loved them, but there's only the one with the fool Ryder now.

I found out what the issue was-- I tried looking immediately behind me when I dropped off a fare by pressing the middle mouse button; it would spontaneously end the mission. I was actually doing that in an attempt to avoid a fare spawning behind me because the game likes to spawn them where you're not looking. Turns out that if you're pressing that button when the fare is dropped off, it just ends the mission. Absolute crap, if you ask me-- it's still a bug, though not as game breaking as I thought it was. I was finally able to finish the missions by avoiding pressing the middle mouse button.

I too have had issues with the crashing on pause as well, but normally with fiarly rapid pressing of the escape key. Sometimes mouse doesn't work in map too, but that's an iddue that's been there at least since 2.00.

Also, I only remember one burglery mission; the solo ones were a pain in the ass to find because you needed a particular vehicle that never spawns anywhere. Though, I think I do recall trying to do a solo burglery mission when I found the correct truck... I just assumed I might have nicked the wrong vehicle when it didn't work. It's definitely buggy-- I found out that Rockstar's aware that widescreen isn't working properly with 3.00. They pretty much screwed up a bunch of things in this version. We can only hope for a 4.00 where they hopefully rectify all these mistakes without causing more issues :/

So mashing esc can clear the pause problem, good to know, cheers.

I've had the game crash on loading screen too when loading a save, and sometimes when you ctrl+alt+del out and shut it like that, it shows the "Rockstar games present" intro screen that's supposed to be the intro. Yeah, lets hope for a 4.00 patch, could use it. And I want my burglary missions back!
