Useless answer, and you spelled "potato" wrong. OP, I was having the same problem with gta:sa version 3. Like the guy above alluded to, it was never a problem in the earlier versions to run it in 1080p. I searched the forum a little and it seems the game needs to be "downgraded" to an earlier version to make it happen.

I just use 1.01 exe. 1080p works fine with "widescreen" option enabled.
