Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Game does NOT run on graphics cards that don't support the resolution.
My Laptop with intel graphics runs it just fine because it the card supports low resolutions.
My PC can NOT run it because the lowest it supports is 720p

I think this is the issue.

On my PC I get " Can not find 640 x 480 video mode "

I guess you can stream the game from a crappier computer if you have one.

* Must have pretty good internet connection to stream it
* Game does not lag what so ever on my crappy laptop

Go to your file explorer
and type in
C:\Program Files (x86)
\Steam\steamapps
\common\Grand Theft
Auto City
Then right click the
"gta-vc.exe" and go into
properties.
Once in there go into
compatability and you
should be able to see
the opption "run is
640X480 resalution"
Click that and change
your colour mode to 16-
bit
Then press apply and
the game should work
I've tried that. My card just does not support anything lower than 720p. I tried Force windowing it. I tried forceing the monitor to 480p. Which worked but the game still wont run.

Later I decided to step it up and Mess with the files myself So I copied the ".set" files into the files of the PC and changed the ".exe" files. I thought this would trick the game into thinking I have the resolution and it did.

My problem now is the game will not run. I dont get any errors what so ever but the game just refuses to open.

THERE NEEDS TO BE AN UPDATE THAT FIXES THIS ISSUE.

That way everyone can just reinstall it without any problems.
Try reinstalling and try the compatibility stuff

Just tried it agian

Does not work. I deleted EVERYTHING I had on the game
Re-Installed
Did the compatibility and even tried 16 Bit Color.
