How to install direct play ?

If i recall when i tried to download this game i was offline and i started it for the first time offline so when i went to play it . It said download direct play now , i couldn't because i wasnt connected to the internet . Now its not popping up at all when i unstall it . So does anyone know how to just install direct play on windows 8.1
