MAXIM MACHINE-GUN
Germans have two heavy machine-guns,why Russians have one?it would be great if they add the Russian MAXIM MACHINE-GUN.

I highly doubt they will be doing anything with this game any more. On a positve note, Red Orchestra 2 has one and it is awesome :IS2:

Maxim MG would be a crap to carry as an infantry man.
64.3 kg (139.6 lbs) according to this article : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PM_M1910


And take in account MG-34, MG-42 and DP-28 are LIGHT machine guns.
MG34 : 12.1 kg (26.7 lb) empty, without tripod http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_34
MG42 : 11.57 kg (25.51 lb) empty without tripod http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_42
DP-28 : 9.12 kg (20.11 lb) empty http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DP-28

Last point : in RO1, DP-28 is fairly accurate in single or double shots.
On Berezina, try to seek a target with binocular, then deploy DP-28, and you see even at medium/long-range you can frag quite easily.
