Does anyone still play Mare Nostrum?

I just re-downloaded the original RO and Darkest hour. Id forgotten how great it was online.
Played Darkest hour and had loads of fun....but....Why don't people play mare Nostrum? I remember it being great!

I want to play in too for a bit of change from DH or a little RO all the time.But whenever i check it,its dead never any on realy odd person may see and server up but none use it realy.Only thing i know of is the fight nights for the mod,not sure once a month maybe they or a server full for hours i suppose or more?.

Like i have played the odd one,but awhile ago now,as always seem to miss them,need to check the forum or so fo info on it.As i have missed all the ones so far this year say 2 maybe?.

Maybe the server for it would be better on the RO site so more traffic if possible?,even the DH mod server list for more players on the server if possible?.

Thanks for the info. Well i might start playing it again. The north Africa setting is such a great one. Also i seem to recall that, surprisingly, Mare nostrum had one of the best opening cinematics of any world war 2 game i have ever played....one that wasnt like any other.

Check redorchestra.pl : some fridays, they organize events on Mare Nostrum
(in fact, registered people can vote every week for the mod played on Friday : standard or custom RO1, Mare Nostrum, Darkest Hour, Carpathian Crosses, Revenge of the Turul, RO1 conversion for DH, etc...)

Ive never heard of Carpathian horses or those others. Are they available on steam or elsewhere?

The DH mod would be the most populated one at certain times,but mostly one server or on weekends a few, with enough people on them to play.Found on the steam site here by search or link belwo for free download,need RO installed like all others first too.

The carpathian one can be done at there site below,like meant to do ages ago.oonly downloaded it this year and tried it a little but only with bots,not to good.Would need to play online with it when its picked for a fight night only maybe?.As not sure if server is online all time,if so not seen it full ever yet?.

The turul one think read of but got mixed uo with the carpathian one,see hungarian army in WW2.Im going to download that one now and check it out,but again,be bots unless can play in online on one of those fight night things too?.Site below to download the mod just looked for,probaly few others around on the internet sites too.
