I'm always worried about time limits i don't like rushing especially if its rpg game

I cant seem to understand how to pass this floor, i tried luring the monster in the arrow trap, nope trap doesnt activate, i tried hitting the trap so that arrow shoot the monster, but it doesnt kill the monster and i die after, you obviously need to get beyond the arrow trap but im really stumped on how to do it...

Game came out 16 hours early? I've never seen that before...Its unlocked right? I'm going to go buy a Steam card, I got the game in my cart...hope theres no shenanigans!

Since you can't actually bring pets with you in the dungeon, is there any point to collecting monsters to the Ranch other than scoring some achievements on the size of your collection?
