Can't Reset Progress, Current Methods Do Nothing?
I've been trying to reset my progress in this game for a while now. I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me.

I've read that I need to go into C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Doublefine\IronBrigade
and delete the files there, but that's done nothing. Every time I do this and start up the game, it's the same thing.

Silimar methods of deleting files don't work, either.

Is Steam Cloud storing the save data and reloading it? or does this have something to do with ANOTHER problem that GFWL caused upon its removal?

Does anybody have any answers?

I wanted to reset it so that I could start from square one and go through the game again.
Well, I deleted both the numbered folder and a file that was inside, and neither worked.

At this point, I'm just fed up with this game. How can doing something so simple as DELETING SAVE DATA be this difficult?!

I guess we should all use this as a learning experience: DO put in a reset save data function in your games, and DON'T lock your game at 30 FPS and leave it to rot with several bugs and glitches left over by Microsoft's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attempt at a PC gaming program.

Thanks for the help, though.

Since it did not work; I deleted my post so it will not give others hope for a false fix. Glad I could at least try to help.

I'd highly suggest you restore the files you deleted at this point. Since it didn't give you the result you were looking for, their continued removal may have unknown adverse effects.
Well, since there's no way to remove the save data, there's no real reason to play again, since I already beat the game. The multiplayer's broken, and there's not much endgame content, plus half of the achievements are locked BY multiplayer . . .

I think I'm just going to remember the good times I had with this game and uninstall it. Thanks again for the help!

Hopefully the devs are making a sequel, because I LOVE the concept of this game.

At the moment, not really, but even if I was, the multiplayer is still broken for me. I bought a 4-pack and gave my friend a copy, but when we tried to play a match, all that would happen is a disconnect. Really dissapointing, but hey, at leat the 4-pack was on sale when I got it! XD

just noodled around with this because i was also cheezed and bored: if you restart steam in offline mode, delete save files, you get to start over.

when you go back online however, it appears you get your cash, and some if not all of your items back from previous playthroughs, but i still seem to be level 1 and at the start of the story. so kind of a reset kind of not.

also, i agree, its obnoxious that you cant reset ingame.
