Satan glitch?

Basically I had an awesome run going with judas, moms knife Polyphemus some other stuff, and I killed each round of satan in one hit, but at the end the statue came back and blood is gushing from walls and I have a red room, lol. Lost my monster manual unlock because of it :/

If this is your case, I'll suggest you to read the Wiki to prevent such an issue in the future.
