are the resolutions suppose to be limited??? Also another question Should i leave the game open because from what ive seen once you die you go back and theres no saving progresss.

Erm yes progress is saved, but obviously it's got rogue-like elements so when you die and return to the title screen, that run is over forever.

Items you unlock will persist though when you close the game, so don't worry about that,
