Achievements broken for this game?

Not that it's vital to gameplay but I noticed this game launches outside Steam and thus steam overlay can't be accessed from the game. That's not particularly annoying but after a few hours of playing my firewall popped up because "binding of isaac is attempting to access steam achievements"; I set the game as trusted in Comodo and went so far as to turn it off completely but haven't gotten one steam achievement since, after several hours of play :[

Great little game, sad that the achievements don't work. Anyone else encountered this?

i just got this game and i got achievements.
sorry but i don't know how to fix that but i think it's not the game, its you D:

A firewall alert is pretty much the kiss of the death for a program if you're using Comodo. I don't have the time or the energy to sift through thousands of programs to find the right ones and list them as trusted. And even if I did... who knows. It's a shame the author of this quality title couldn't just trust Steam to do it's thing. This is the first Steam game I've ever played that didn't use Steam overlay.

For me i get wrong achievements when beating the chest, but I honestly don't know what to say. Sorry, but it looks like your not getting achievements. :( But it is an amazing game, set aside from its little glitches. Too bad there isn't Steam overlay.

It's a pretty good game, which makes me sad I'm so bad at it :[
