Unlocking the Endings with Various Characters

Does the character I'm using affect which ending I get? Or is just a function of beating Mom's Heart/Satan/whoever a specific number of times? I know I have to beat the various bosses with each character to unlock all the achievements and collectibles, I just want to know if it makes a difference about the endings themselves.

It dosent, but you will have to end up completing the game with multiple characters (I think).

They Effect what items you get for beating them, E.G Moms Knife for killing Satan as Isaac
But the Endings don't change

Thanks! Admittedly, I was hoping there were alternate ending cinematics for each character, but it's still fun to beat the thing with each one.
