please help. game closes are character selection

I can launch the game fine but after selecting a character it goes black and closes Isaac. I have close to 200s on it and never experienced this before. anyone had this happen or know a fix? thanks in advance

if you use xfinity constant guard select the sonstant guard program on the right side of your tool bar and go to options, then manage my blocked programs rules and allowing Isaac.exe

I've never had this happen before, but if what the above post says is true, you should try temporarily disabling your antivirus to see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can suggest is verifying the game cache under properties. There is the possibility that a crucial file might not have been installed.

hell no , you just add isaac to the AV Firewall and not the windows FW

Regardless of whether or not you add a program to your safe list, errors can still occur due to the antivirus being enabled. Hence, I said to TEMPORARILY disable it to determine whether or not it actually is the antivirus. It can be enabled again once it's determined what, exactly, is causing the problem.
