Any tips with the Depths?

When I start a run. I get through the Basement/Cellar fairly easily. The cave/catacombs are easy if I don't run into maggots or hard bosses. But every time I get to the Depths I get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blown up D:. Help please.

Lord of the pit, Holy grail, Dead dove, Spirit of the night, and transcendence all let you float over rocks and pits, which make 90% of the rooms there a whole lot easier.

Also the ladder helps a lot, not as useful as the others but its a lot more common in shops and you could get this from beggars sometimes

It takes a lot of practice and you have to learn the enemie's attack patterns but soon it'll be like second nature to you.
