Linux keymap totally borked!

I'm on Arch Linux 64-bit. Monaco runs, but my keys are all messed up. In other games, like Wargame: AirLand Battle, the keyboard (and everything else) works perfectly.

In Monaco, the arrow keys work, and the enter key is read as spacebar, and the mouse works, so I can more or less play the game, but NONE of my letter keys function, and number keys are read as enter, space, =, -, [, ], etc. I have no idea what's going on!

Anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure how troubleshoot this.

Yeah, this is an usual issue. Not limited to linux.
The thing is, the game appears to be reading every keyboard layout as the same. So those of us who, say, live in Europe will have a hard time.
If I were you I'd just get used to that layout.

You can change the keyboard settings to match the US international standard. That way it should work I think.
