Non-PS3/Xbox controller issue

Hey yall, im currently using an old Gravis Eliminator controller, but when I try to use it in game, it does not register that there is a controller there. I already installed the 3rd party controller app and changed the keyboard to a non player 1 slot as suggested in the FAQ, but to no avail. If anyone could assist me, id be much appreciated! :D

You'll need to be a bit more specific. If by "3rd party controller app" you mean X360CE, that comes with a handy exe file that lets you create and test your configuration. Does that work properly? There's also an init beep setting there, which makes a beeping sound if the emulator DLL is loaded. xinput1_3.dll is the one you should be overriding, but I think that's the default anyway.
