Monaco
How is this game to play solo, or with random online folk?
It seems like this game dependent on multiplayer for enjoyment? I don't have any friends that would play it, so I'm wondering if it would still be worth it?

Absolutely false to say it is reuired to play online. The best fun I have had is playing solo. This is where strategy and quick thinking play major roles. Some of the later levels solo are monstrously difficult. Some took me upwards of 50 minutes on my own. It will depend how much you like a challenge. I prefer solo to multiplayer. I like both though.
Wheelie, Monaco has the option to match up with strangers, like Left 4 Dead and other co-op titles liket hat. So you'll be able to play multiplayer.

You guys can blame me for making the later levels beastly. The beta testers got really sucked into the game and became so pro they demanded more challenge. I made levels that I thought no one could beat, and then a beta tester beats it in 5 minutes.

So, for the most die hard fans, I give them the challenge of a lifetime!
Multiplayer is a completely different experience on the same board. Both Single Player and Multiplayer are fun, exciting, and unique experiences/
I have run into far fewer asshats in multiplayer than I thought I would, to be honest. But there have still been a few, mostly people who can't figure out how to create a private match for theirselves and their friends and scream at you to leave the lobby.

Single player is also fun, but a tougher affair all around. While I do prefer the co-op, I enjoy the challenge in SP. It's a great way to really learn the strengths and weaknesses of a given character as well as the layouts of the various maps.

I really love both modes...

Single player is a lot of fun tos simply explore the levels and experiment. Trying new characters, new gear, finding the best paths or even SECRET paths, it's all great fun to go slowly and p-lay by yourself.

Also though MP is a lot of fun. I don't think I ever screamed at a screen more than when I initially played Monaco with three of my friends :D I'll say it can be stress inducing, since everything can go to crap just THAT much faster, but you can also finish missions very quickly, and nothing feels more rewarding than splitting up and cleaning out a whole floor!
If you are having many issues finding games, we suggest that you change your Download location on steam. For some reason THAT effects which lobbies you see. Let us know how that works!
The devs know about the situation, so hopefully they can figure it out soon :3

Pretty weird nevertheless...
some of the later levels in single player mode are absolute hell

single player is if you want a good stealth game, multiplayer is if you want a great hotline miami-ish experience
