Might be a stupid question, but how do you start over?

It's been ages since I played this and I'd like to start a new game, but I don't see any options for deleting the current game and restarting. Is there a way to do this?

Yeah, on the main menu, if you look in the upper-left corner, you'll see "Change Save" with a button you can press to change the save file you're using to one of four save slots, which means you can start a new game without erasing your previous progress. However, you can also delete save slots from the "Change Save" menu if the need arises.
