Can anyone confirm that the complete game does run who experienced this problem with the demo, too?
First of all you might want to notice that the demo is outdated (not remastered).
1. The game needs PhysXLoader.dll (or PhysXLoader64.dll if you have 64bit system) in it's game directory. Just search your computer for such a file, you'll probably have it multiple times in other games' directory. Just copy this file to your Sherlock directory (same folder as demo.exe is located)
2. The game needs msvcr71.dll in it's directory. Same procedure as above.
3. Check your mouse settings. (Only if your mouse lags) Your polling rate has to be quite low. I had to set it to 125Hz. You may not set it above 500Hz however.
If you can't find these files on your drive, search the internet and download them (I did so with the latter one).
!Warning!:
Note, that the first and the last problem also existed in the remastered full version for me. I find this game quite buggy therefore - it works but you have to get it to work. If you don't want to buy buggy/outdated games, you might reconsider buying this one. It's up to you. I couldn't resist another good lovecraftian mystery ;)
