A fix for game not starting!

When game is not starting, it means it is missing PhysXLoader.dll. Steam will not tell you this. It simply will do nothing. The solution is very simple - find the file I mentioned on your system drive (drive/partition with your Windows installation), and copy it to game folder - to the same folder with game executable. If you don't have it, then install physx package from nvidia site. Enjoy the game.

EDIT: It doesn't matter if you have AMD/Radeon or Nvidia/GeForce. PhysX is a library you need on PC. Period.

The PhysX must be installed in order to play the game. You don't need to copy the PhysXLoader, just install the latest PhysX driver from Nvidia website and reboot the computer. Here is a permalink to latest version: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_system_software.html

I had newest Physx installed on my pc prior to installation of this game. I did have to copy that file manually, to make th game work.

I downloaded the PhysXLoader.dll from Nvidia but it didn’t work. So manually put the file in the game folder but it still doesn’t work (assuming that I put it in the right place which I think I did). Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Install latest PhysX pack, then install Legacy. Both packages are on nvidia website.

I was playing this game fine, then one day I tried to start it up from steam for it just to be stuck at the opening splash screen and won't start the game. I have tried everything mentioned here. Got the latest Physx, installed Legacy, copied dll file to game folder. And nothing seems to help me start this game, its also happening with another of the Sherlock games

Having the same issue of the game not starting. Had to put a standalone 1 gig video card just to run the game.
