Running backwards

I recently came back to this game on a new PC, hoping to enjoy it like I did the first time... but I can't. No matter what, my character is always facing left. Going right, I run backwards. I jump backwards. So far as I can tell, everything else works right, but it's very immersion breaking to be running backwards and I just can stop trying to fix it.

Anyone else come across this issue and fixed it? Or even come acros this issue before at all?

I figured it out. The game hates PS4 controllers with the fury of a thousand suns. Tiny suns. Like little fists of fury. Mapping all the buttons to keyboard keys and telling the game to ignore controller input worked. I can now enjoy the game with a controller again.

I had the same thoughts, played it, came back to it, but now it's crashing on start up...

I'm having the same issue but I don't even have any controller plugged it.

It's frusturating because I'm actually at a part in the game where I need to throw a flurro seed to the right and I can't.

Same problem. I also don't have a controller plugged in. Incredibly annoying oversight. Good thing I got this game for free.
