Because we are people and people like to communicate.
Although the survival is always the same, each day you come back to play you learn something new. Each day you become a little better and you score goes a little up. Some other game modes are specially good to learn how to move and how to fire.
This is the beauty of Waves: you learn to stay calm even when surounded by proton balls, you learn to keep the attention even when the screen is covered with sparks, you learn to overcome danger to get the 1x pads.
When you play Waves, there is only Waves, and nothing more.
Thx @Unkind, I'll check it out.
Try and beat my score ... 55 million ... but the real challenge is not score but how long you can survive. My best is 12:17. Videos on my twich channel:

LOL gold, thanks for sharing sugarysnax! I also like to play this way! There is a thrill of a game in here, but it doesn't force you to take the thril, you kind of have to go for it yourself. I would highly recommend this kind of playing to others :) One of the cool things about this game is you can really play with the style of how you like to survive!
