I finished the game, killed Sara and the credits rolled? I do not see any reaper boss at all. Do you haft to die to get catched by reaper?

Hi, everyone, I was just curious if it was necessary to finish the first one before playing this one? My experience with the first one is a buggy painful mess of backtracking, getting stuck in environments, events not triggering and instant death jumpscare light bulb head demons sending me hours and hours backwards when they instantly appear through a wall or door and send me to my grave. I've noticed that developer has changed as it now is in the hands of MegaPixel Studios and initially it was developed by MMEU like the first game. So this silence could be explained by the fact that seems like MMEU is no more but luckily MegaPixel Studios has bought rights to the game now? I really hope MegaPixel can finally finish this project! 😎...

I'd just started a mission where I had to find the keycard for the elevator. As I moved forward I entered an airlock. It sprayed me with something but the doors never unlatched. There's nothing to interact with except the vending machine.
