Issue with Resolution

Im running this game on win 8, my specs are more than enough to compensate for high resolution and everything maxed on the game but when I try to fullscreen the game or change its resolution the game freezes and forces me to restart it. Anyone know of any fixes for this?

Ummm, try alt-enter and then change your res, post back here I want to see what it does. Also, try changing the resolution in windowed-mode and then full screening. Additionally, run in compatibility mode for windows 7. You can dig around in steam and find to exe to set that up. See if that helps.

I changed compatibilty to win 7, started it up changed resolution down to see and it crashed again, it will just freeze the whole game from working and force me to task manager to end the task.

hrmm, have you tried verifying the cache? You might have a corrupted file in there somewhere. When in doubt, verify cache!
