This is a middle thumb overall for me, but I'm thumbing it up anyway because I did enjoy it for what it is.

River City Girls is a casual beat 'em up which is fun when played with a coop partner, but will be a slog to play through solo. There are combos, but most of em are very simple to execute, which is a good thing. The problem with the game is that sometimes the controls could get annoying where I feel my character isn't doing what I want her to do. But it's not a deal-breaker, as the other pros still outweigh the cons.

Carried by a solid art style, it is well voice-acted and has character and style. This would be a great game if only the controls were better.

Why are there so many YouTubers in this game

Super fun old-school beat 'em up game with fast and addictive combat and some unique and challenging bosses. I can't wait to play the sequel.
