Isn't there any way to play this game at windows 8?

I read that it is impossible to play this game on windows 8. But I wonder is it really that impossible? I tried to launch and it didn't work. But can I really can't play this game by any method?

you have to download another thing like steam it is called Origin once you buy the game here you can use the code on that one to get the game just dont update it and you can play it on windows 8 that how i do it
