It wouldn't start for me if I had Filters and Shadows on. Worked fine when I turned them off. I have a pretty similar setup to yours.

Are you guys running the driver package from nVidia? Download the correct drivers, uninstall your current drivers and install the nVidia package, including PhysX

Yeah everything updated and now. More crappy third world programming. Skip this turd. Trying to get a refund.

game crashes on menu page. hangs up and then I get error message that game has stopped working. any help would be appreciated, as I have tried all of the above recommendations with no success.

Must be Steam never tried it out before they put it up to sell. Seeing all the problems with it I won't touch it. Even when it came out the first time years ago they said it wasn't worth it. Too many bugs, but the trailers looked great. And it's one I wanted too. I went to the first Silent Hunter and now that one won't play with Windows 8.1 on up.
