Does this do rendering
Say I modeled a futuristic gun turret with laser and lightings, I want to render them, is it possible?

No, Silo does not have any rendering capabilities (nor lights, nor bone, nor animation tools). You need to use an external renderer, or some other 3D suite for it. It's solely a modeler, with UV tools.

There are plenty of low cost renderers out there. For texturing there is Substance Painter with a built in renderer and of course Marmoset which all use PBR textures used in game engines. I don't use Silo, interesting to see the developers pick up the development i thought this was abandonware. There are quite a few free renderers as well I just stumbled on this one which lookss interesting: https://renderman.pixar.com/product

Daz Studio Pro 4.9is free also has 2 renderers it has Iray Render Engine if you have an Nvidia card though it will render even if you havent in a cpu mode, also 3Delight render engine.

You could create your model in Silo and then render it out in DS.
