Its Pretty Old Now, And Turning It Into Free 2 Play Will Fill Up Valve's Computer With Tons Of Steam Accounts As Player All Around The Globe Will Join Steam For CS 1.6. And We'll Have More Players To Play With. More Servers. More Pros. I Don't Think Anyone Will Buy CS 1.6 Now or Later, They'll Opt For CS:S Instead, Or They'll Pirate It (Which Most Players Have Done And Still Do). So Maybe this Is A Fine Idea .now its upto valve if they love their fans or their money.. the profit earned will be negligible. let VAC & Admins Take Care Of Cheaters.

How much is CS1.6 nowadays, 2euro? The game doesn't profit for a few years now, it just cost valve to keep up all the data. f2p would nageate that little income too. Also there will be no real threat in VAC if you could do multiply accounts when caught cheating (however VAC is still useless), it recommends horrible ammount of extra data that must be stored, and an increase of support activity.

This is a bad idea if you look behind the scenes.
