@ArgyleSocks Looting & then sell noob weapons, in the DLC The Following... you can run over the suvivors you rescued with your buggy after collecting the reward, sell their weapons to shops too, and progress through the story % ...it unlocks higher dmg weapons at shops, i think. So craft those into great weapons.. Crossbows are also extremely handy

Hi. It has been over a year since i i've played the game. But i remember that everything levels with you, so the vendors will get the strong weapons later on. And if you don't spend money on random thing as some people do, you will be very rich later on in the game, so you can buy basicly eveything. I'd also recommend that you save the weapon modifiers til you get a good weapon. Adding fire/lighting will also improve the weapon. There is a guy on youtube(i cant remember his name) and he can show you where you can find the recipes. I hope this helps :)

Hey, may I ask, how do you get a really good sword? Just asking, all my weapons are 300 damage max.
