Also, what's the point of having two alternate versions of Dana if you can only use them in the past, and not everytime you want?

This was my first Ys and since I had no previous knowledge about saga before playing my expectations were low but that changed fast because as soon as I saw the main menu screen with the music I knew I was going for a ride.And I was right, what a beautiful game from start to finish, Dana is easily my favorite character, I enjoyed her story A LOT, the rest of characters were very colorful and charming as well, I had lots of fun exploring the island trying to find all the chests! It was very satisfactory to reach the final boss and having the steam pop-up with the 100% map completed achievement right before the fight :') The art sections for the backstories is also super pretty...
I can't wait to play other games from this saga! I'm super curious about Adol's adventures! :D

Why do some monsters don't die? Like the lv.56 dinosaurs?

Ys 8 crash
Hey everyone,
i managed to play like 20 minutes and now the game wont even start. I changed nothing about it. There was a crash window that popped up but no error code. It told me so get the dump file or whatever but i dont seem to have the required software to read it.
Anyone has any idea what to do ?

16gb
Rx 6700xt

There are two JRPG I consistently dislike ...
The Ys series. (I'm only here because I've been told Ys VIII was the best one. It was certainly better than the ones I've played in the past. But it's still a disappointment with that awful "good" ending.)
The Trails series. Same as most Ys : I can't seem to get interested by the story, characters nor gameplay.
I've just learned they are from the same developer. I didn't expect that at all....

Sleepless tomb hunt and reputation score for true ending
Can someone please tell me where I find the last nest and get this done without failure and a D rank every time?
I can easily destroy the 4 up and down each but can´t find it no matter where I search and the exits are blocked.
I also have the item to defeat undead, of course.
My current level is 10 above the hunt one and I play on easy, too.
Thanks in advance.
I´m right before the last dungeon, so I wanted to do as much as possible for a true ending.
Oh yeah, where can I find my reputation score to...

Not recognizing my controller
Whether I have Steam Input on or off, this game does not recognize my controller inputs. It's acting as if I do not have a controller connected. Is there any fix?
Edit: for clarification, this is the first time I've booted the game

Dino Roar OP
I dont know what to do, i got this mission with adol to defeat some dinos for the butler.
But somehow they roar at me and i cant get up and die. Its not counterable somehow, is there a trick or is that just a quest that needs a lvl requirement?

This was my first dive into the YS series. I absolutely loved it. Story is intriguing and complex and the fighting is fun. There is so much to do after 3 run throughs I still have a few uncollected achievements. I love it so much I moved on to YS IX!
