So, I just finished the game and I'm kinda sorta disappointed.
Everyone except for Lord douchebag and Dijkstra chipped in on the battle at Kaer Morhen.
-Keira, Roche/Ves, Letho, Triss, Yen, Ciri, Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel and Hjalmar helped out.
-Vesemir died.
Blew both my chances with Yen and Triss.
Then later during the final I killed the Wild Hunt, asked Ciri not to go into the tower (did it anyways), then after a cutscene I was in White Orchard doing some hunting with Ciri and then Lord Douche picked her up and I ended up alone in Kaer Morhen.
Is this the "bad" ending? Or the "meh" ending or the "good" ending? Because I'm kinda left with an empty feeling.
Yes, he is. However, me and some other people saved him in Witcher 2, load the right save file when starting the story in Witcher 3 and he was not in the manor.
She actually can controll them now, hence why the elf lets her go against the White Frost.
For Ciri it was. The Other stuff depends on your other choices. Obviously you didn't kill Radovid, so the North won the war and the emperor gets killed. If you had assassinates Radovid you could then side with Roche or Dykstra. Side with Roche and kill Dykstra and Nilfgaard wins the war but in the end stops and creates Temeria as a free nation but as a vassal. Side with Dykstra and he will become de facto ruler of Novigrad and Redania, ruling well but also through terror as his spies are everywhere and he beats Emhyr.
As much as it saddens me, CDPR said that this is the end of the franchise.
I didnt like both leaders so whenever they summoned me i tried to avoid them. Although i made some quests for radovid and emperor. Hell emperor even intercept my route when i was headin to kaer mordan. So i had no idea that my choises even makes difference on the wars end result.
Emperor is better then radovid but i watched somewhere that emperor = game of thrones lannister. I hate that guy :D
Valid point.
Technically post game Geralt does start back in Kaer Morhen alone BUT you can live happily ever after with Triss. Don't know about Yen. But when you do respawn in Kaer Morhen it says clearly everything is as it was BEFORE the final set of missions.
If you pick Yen she and Geralt move far way from politics and live a peaceful life together doing what ever the hell they want. As that is something both of them have always wanted I was really happy with that ending.
Plus my ending had Ciri as a Witcher. I played my game with a ♥♥♥♥ everyone else I just care about me and mine attitude so while I did kill Radovid (to protect Yen and Triss) and I did kill Dykstra (to protect my other friends) I never really gave a single ♥♥♥♥ about who would end up on the throne. Ciri only ever wanted to live a life of freedom so that's what she got. Screw being all noble and responsable by becomign Empress.
He is referenced in a bookstore in Novigrad he actually leaves you a note asking for forgiveness(which is weird because he seemed pretty intent on killing you, but I guess that might mean that he was given to the Wild Hunt in game 1: just like the game forces your pick with Thaler and anti-scoiatel.)
He uses his Order name though(If you didn't know that Alvin turns into the villian in game 1). I just wonder how if he knew the monster he would become, why could he not stop himself when he knew it was wrong? He had the power to manipulate time could he not just travel back after he wrote the note and stop his former self? Just talk to the book store guy and he will tell you about a message left to you in a red book and in one of those books you will find the message.
Over my dead body...
But yeah, I'd say Ciri is probably is dead in this ending. So sad.
