Famous youtuber is a script kid ruining this game completely
<Links removed>

HOWEVER... this isnt the big issue. Its the fact that the devs hold customer concerns in absolute contempt. Any type of reporting of another "hacker/script kid/.exe downloader" is literally "♥♥♥♥♥ing about hackers."

Really? They had to word it like that? ♥♥♥♥♥ing about hackers?

I've sent this comment on the Machinima.com site under their 'Contact' section.

'[Subject] Youtuber Shosho10199 exposed as an abusive hacker on rust.

Not sure if this has been brought to Machinima's attention yet. But Youtube Gamer Shosho10199 has recently been exposed as an abusive hacker on the online game RUST by Facepunch Studios LTD.

Video link (11:30+): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hafXonvf7FY

In an attempt to duck backlash, Shosho10199 has already disabled comments and voting to his youtube channels after receiving a torrent of downvotes and people calling him out.

After doing a brief research, I've discovered that Shosho10199 is possibly networked with Machinima, so I've written this e-mail to express my outrage at such behavior.

Such abuses will not be tolerated by the general gaming community and we will do as much as we can to expose Shosho10199 as the hacker he is.

We suggest Machinima promptly withdraw from whatever partnership they have with Shosho10199 unless they want to be know as a network that associates with hackers and griefers.'

I hope others will do similarly, let's get his partnership pulled.

No it's not, i haven't even ran into a single hacker yet. don't play offical servers, and don't play highly filled servers. hackers don't log on the low pop servers to cap people, too obvious, and not as many targets, they get on the big servers where there's total mayhem so they can cover it up more.

Let this tosser starve.

"I highly doubt this is considered proof, he wasnt streaming, you're not linking his profile from in game...which ou can't do in rust. I don't think he should starve, but i highly doubt ad revenues from youtube is paying his rent, and a vac ban and being exposed will ruin his carreer one way or another. People watch these guys for authentic gameplay, they don't wanna see a game w here the guy presenting it has dupe/exploited his way to the top, it just doesn't represent(in this case) the progression in a game.

We'll probably have to wait a few weeks for the next VAC ban roll out since they had one 13 days ago. It's also kind of funny that the comments on playrust.com are full of links to download hacks.

Thats good in all but I think Steam needs to lock there account period no games what so ever no single player games no online games Just lock the whole steam account period.

EDIT: Then if they Hack again They get IP Banned from all steam Services. I know there are ways around this but still. Ban all CC# and Names and E-mail adresses make it a pain in the butt to make a 3rd account.

Hackers in shooters are bad enough, but hackers in a game where one person can go and destroy hours or days of work...I think I will hold off buying this game till the developer wakes up and starts doing something about the situation.

As far as the Youtuber goes...it's Machinima I doubt that they will care enough to boot him.

Not out of hand at all, I've yet to run into anyone hacking. Doesn't mean they are not out there, lots of servers. I've got to say though, in this kind of game, hackers and cheaters would more than just aggitate foks, it would completely ruin the game.

That's sad. I've run into no cheaters thus far however I play on unofficial servers where the admins ban instantly for that kind of behavior. Wish you the best in your future adventures!
