New Space Background (Skybox)

This is guide shows you how to install a custom skybox (new space background) for PlanetaryAnnihilation.

Introduction

First of all I am not the creator of the modification nor the skyboxes!
I just wanted to make the mod more accessible for the steam community. AND to make this mod popular on steam, as everybody should use it!
The Skybox is in my opinion indispensable and you don't want to play without it. It's very easy to install and takes only 2mins of your precious gaming time & has no performace impact!

Tutorial

1. Download [github.com] & install PAMM.msi => PA ModManager
2. Download [www.superouman.net] your preferred Skybox (previews down below...)
3. Run PA ModManager => click AVAILABLE MODS => type in Filter: skybox => &click install
3.1 To verify click UI MODS => there U should now see the mod: Custom Skybox
The blue dot shows that the mod is enabled.
3.2 Then click settings
=> & go to your UI Mod Location folder.
Now copy (&overwrite) your 6 skybox files (skybox_01_back.papa;...) into:
C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\mods\com.pa.superouman.CustomSkybox\pa\terrain\sky\textures

3.2.1 If U can't see/enter the folder, have a look at "how to unhide your hidden folders"[www.wikihow.com]
4. Enjoy PA with your new Space background!
PS: You don't need to start the mod manager, to change your skybox OR to play PA, everytime. You just have to do it once :)

5 years later - ready for an update?
- no longer need to install PAMM as Community Mods are now integrated on the game's main menu
- While there is a fair selection of skyboxes available, it appears that Large Magellanic Cloud Galaxy Yellow Nebula is the only one remaining from superouman's original set.

Hey Heteroptics!
I heared that you know a solution to how to fix the SkyBox Mod Bug. Because I can´t find the correct win profile, which includes all the neccessary folders:

Sounds like you're using the wrong folder! It has to be the exact folder, or it won't work.
OR the mod is not enabled (blue dot)...
