Local Multiplayer?

Is there a local 1v1 mode? If not, is it possible to play a single player mode that's not against an AI, where two people could trade off and manually record scores?

There is a 1v1 mode with several game modes. Not 100% sure if gamepads are required, since I use em anyway...

Online is nice to have as an option but I prefer local so if the other player suddenly disappeares I know where they went and I know exactly who I'm playing.

Thanks! My friends and I like to play pool on campus, but it's a bit of a hike now. This'll be great, especially for drinking games.

Right now it's not possible and afaik devs didn't mention it.

Is multiplayer only hotseat or can it be played locally over a LAN with two copies of the game?
