MOD TRAILERS:

This guide/page will work as my workshop page for steam, since Battlefront 2 does not have proper "Workshop" support. I will update it from time to time and upload the latest videos and pictures regarding my mods. This guide will help you improve the game's visuals.

I'm Harrisonfog and I've been working on this project for over 2 years. I decided to make this guide because every time I played this game online I found Steam users who still don't know about my Online Compatible remastered maps, graphics mods, improved units. Most of them wanted to know more so I hope this article helps.

How to install

I'd recommend you to read this section carefully if you are new to BF2 mods

First Install Anakin's HD Interface (HD Menus and more)
Anakin's mod improves a bunch of things and includes 1.3 patch This patch is needed by mods that add new eras (for instance kotor, sequel era, etc.) it fixes the menu for HD resolution and adds AI Heroes and other options in Options Menu. It also has the Fakeconsole function, which is very useful and fun at the same time.

BF2 Remaster Project

Currently split in 3 mods:

• Rezzed and Remastered Maps HD versions of the vanilla maps, with updated designs inspired by the movies.
  
• Improved Sides High quality-movie accurate playermodels, vehicles.
  
• And for post processing Graphics Mod (optional) ENB-Reshade type of mod. Or the one we use nowadays Shaderpatch (optional) which is made specifically for BF2 and it's the closest to improving the engine asides from post processing that it includes,

• I suggest testing the original game unmodified (vanilla) and then installing the mods one by one to see their effect, also in case of any errors. Maps first, then Sides, and lastly post processing.

• Each mod can be installed individually, so you can tweak your game to your liking. I recommend installing them all if you'd like your game to look like the screenshots I posted.

I'm seeing some things pop in and out of the maps as I move around when playing the training mode with this mod installed. It looks nice but the object popping in and out of existence is rather distracting and I was wondering is this something that can be fixed? For clarification, I downloaded and installed the one hosted on ModDB (the Jan. 2025 update).

so what happens when I go to join a normal server with all this installed? I'm assuming I have to play on specific servers with these mods also enabled on there right? That leads me to ask, wouldn't this cause dead severs? The game already has low pop lobbies, I couldn't imagine it on a handful of servers that have all of these mods installed too.

Hey i am having an issue where anytime i load into a game i cant see the ui to select what soldier i want to play as, any one know a fix?

@evilsplat idk about the mod but i do know in nilla u had make sure all the crew is out. i dont recall what action u have to do, however i believe its the same action to ask ai to board the ship. do that action will make them exit or u can just keep relanding the craft til all units are out.

also both Microsoft edge and windows defender throw up warnings left and right thought the entire process, I scanned the zip files and exes with malwarebytes and Microsoft defender separately and nothing was found that way so I assume it's a false positive but I thought I'd give a heads up all the same
